Pregnancy and birth is such an exciting, but sometimes overwhelming, time of life. This is why we are here for you! Midwives can be your ultimate guide and support. Helping you navigate questions and concerns, as well as, facilitating research and education, will be a large part of your midwifery care. It is our job to walk side by side with you, helping you learn about and know your options: to make informed choices. All the while making sure that you and your baby’s health and well-being are at the forefront of care.
Marisol Holman, CPM, CDEM
I am a proud Latina mother of three amazing human beings, and the wife of an incredibly patient and supportive husband. I entered into midwifery in 2001, and began primary practice in 2005. I am a CPM and a CDEM, and also graduated from Southwest Tech with an Associate of Science in Midwifery degree. I am a member of the Indiana Midwifery Association (IMA), North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), and National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM).
One of the things I love the most about midwifery is the ability to spend the time building relationships; really getting to know the families I work with, becoming a team. If you think you might enjoy family centered care with a lot of laughter, more than occasional sarcasm, and a good amount of talking with my hands (I’m told), then it might be a good time to set up a consultation.
I look forward to meeting you,

Joi Crenshaw, CPM, CDEM, PMH-C | Childbirth Educator, Holistic Health Advocate
I am Joi Crenshaw—mother of five little humans, a seasoned health professional, multifaceted woman on a mission to celebrate the beauty in every human’s journey.
My journey into midwifery and maternal health advocacy began with a deep-seated desire to serve families with compassion and respect. After obtaining my nursing assistant certification at McKenzie Career Center, I took a deeper dive into health education at the University of Indianapolis, where I studied nursing. I found my calling in supporting families during their most sacred moments—pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Driven by my commitment to holistic care, I became a certified Bosom Buddy for the Indiana Black Breastfeeding Coalition and embarked on a path as a birth doula. Yet, I felt a calling to further serve my community through midwifery. Guided by my passion, I pursued training at the National College of Midwifery and apprenticed with Home4Birth and Sol Midwifery Services in my hometown of Indianapolis, IN.
Today, as a dedicated midwife at Sol Midwifery Services, Vice President of the Indiana Black Breastfeeding Coalition, and Vice President of the Indiana Midwives Association, I continue to advocate for equitable and safe maternal health care.

Her long-term vision is to open a midwifery practice that serves Black and Brown communities—creating a space that empowers generations to trust their bodies. She is very honored to be a part of your care with Sol Midwifery Services. By allowing a student into your care, you help further their education one encounter at a time!
